- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously.
- Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
- Understand all physician orders thoroughly.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
- Ensure test requisitions or computer labels match scripts to guarantee 100% accuracy.
- Package specimens for transport while maintaining specimen integrity.
- Store specimen samples at required temperatures, labeling them accurately.
- Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attend annual department trainings.
- Handle telephone inquiries and read laboratory results as needed.
- Proficient in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
- Ability to handle high blood volume draws.
- Minimum of 6 months experience or completion of 100 successful sticks in school.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Pediatric experience is essential as this is a high-volume pediatric blood draw office.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist experienced in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information. The ideal candidate will be adept in handling high volumes of patients and possess strong customer service skills.

Work Environment
The position operates on a shift from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday from 7am to 11:30am. The role involves working three days in Paterson and two days in Clifton, with some days split between locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $20.65/hr.
