  Overview:
  
  Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant to work part time days in the central testing lab!
  
  As a clinical lab assistant-phlebotomy duties are to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels.

  • High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
  • Phlebotomy course (preferred)

  • BLS required within 60 days of hire

  Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 276-bed acute care facility offering specialized, tertiary services. SVBGH is the region's only Level III Trauma Center and home to Sentara Heart Center, which is the portal to a sophisticated array of quality cardiac services with outcomes that surpass national standards. SVBGH is also one of only ten Advanced Primary Stroke Centers in Virginia certified by the Joint Commission.
