      Job Description

      The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, whether part of routine health checks or life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws high-quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while adhering to established procedures. With direct patient contact, this role fosters trust and confidence, explains procedures clearly, and ensures safe, skillful, and accurate blood draws. PSR I professionals demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in patient information.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

      • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-friendly environment.

      • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

      • Maintain required records and documentation.

      • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.

      Qualifications

      Job Requirements:

      • Provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

      • Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

      • Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

      • Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.

      Required Education:

      • High school diploma or equivalent.

      • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

      • Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA).

      Work Experience:

      • Minimum 6 months of experience required.

      • 1+ year phlebotomy experience preferred.

      • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.

      • Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
