      Job Description

      Highland Hospital is seeking a part time Phlebotomist. Hours will be during the day Monday-Friday with alternating weekends and holidays.

      The Phlebotomist collects, registers, and processes patient laboratory specimens using a variety of collection techniques, protocols, and computer systems. Follows rigorous patient identification protocols for all ages and complexity of patients. May perform EKG’s. Services patients at any assigned location within the hospital. Exercises excellent judgment, problem-solving and customer service skills. Must be flexible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

      Salary Range:
      $20.00- $25.92 an hour

      The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

      Job Requirements

      1. Education: High School degree or equivalent with six months of phlebotomy experience, or graduation from a phlebotomy training program; or an equivalent combination of education, experience or certification.
      2. Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy and customer service experience a plus
