Job summary
Are you an experienced Phlebotomist who would like to join our busy, but friendly rural practice?
We are looking for someone who is dynamic, highly motivated and a flexible team player to carry out all duties relating to venepuncture.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a team, the primary role will be to undertake venepuncture using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients; explain the process; complete appropriate documentation; store samples in the correct environment and send to the laboratory.
Other duties to include carry out blood pressure checks; height & weight checks with calculation of BMI and act as a chaperone.
Ensure an organised and clean work area and re-stocking of equipment as necessary.

We are a small, friendly rural Practice situated in a beautiful village.
We are a very busy Practice and the health and well-being of our patients is our main priority.
There is a lot of expertise and knowledge within our Clinical team which consists of GPs, GP Trainees, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCSW and part-time Phlebotomist.
In addition, we have a caring and helpful Patient Navigation / Reception team, a Dispensary team that provides excellent patient services and an efficient Administrative Department.
