      Purpose of Position:

      To design; develop and facilitate OBET course material and learning programs for the phlebotomy learnership and to conduct the assessment and moderation for the learnership.

      Requirements:

      Grade 12, Nursing Diploma / Certificate / Certificate in Phlebotomy Techniques, Registered Assessor, Registered Facilitator, Registered Modertor, SANC Registration in Relevant Register

      Required Experience:

      Experience as a coach and / or HOD within an Ampath depot, Knowledge: Google and Google Mail, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge: OBET, Knowledge: Phlebotomy Related Procedures, Knowledge: SETA procedures and requirements, Nursing experience within a hospital and/or laboratory environment, Phlebotomy Training experience

      Key Responsibilities:

      Assess learner evidence in order to make judgements regarding learner competence, Assist with the Recruitment and Selection of new learners to the phlebotomy learnership program in order to ensure an ongoing output of qualified phlebotomy technicians., Develop and facilitate the phlebotomy learnership material and programs in Outcomes Based Format to ensure effective transfer of knowledge, Moderate assessment evidence to ensure standardization of assessments and allow opportunity to grow the skills of the assessor, Perform learnership related administrative tasks in order to ensure that legislative requirements regarding recording of learner achievements are documented
