      Job Summary:
      The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative acts as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. This role involves skillfully collecting blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and following strict safety and procedural protocols. The position requires precision, confidentiality, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in various settings such as patient service centers, physician offices, or other assigned locations.
      Key Responsibilities:
      • Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
      • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
      • Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections per established procedures.
      • Verify patient demographics, obtain signatures after collection, and ensure correct labeling in the patient’s presence.
      • Maintain required records and documentation.
      • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
      Required Experience:
      • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
      • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
      • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
      Nice-to-Have Experience:
      • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment.
      • Customer service experience in retail or service environments.
      • Keyboard/data entry proficiency.
      Required Skills:
      • Excellent phlebotomy skills for pediatric and geriatric patients.
      • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
      Preferred Skills:
      • Medical assistant or paramedic training.
      • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred otherwise).
      • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
      Additional Skills:
      • Superior customer focus and communication skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume settings.
