      Primary Responsibilities

      We are looking for a talented, up and coming photographer to join our architectural photography and marketing team. The ideal candidate is passionate and motivated in telling a visual story of architecture in the built environment and has excellent communication and organization skills. The ability to take direction and work with a variety of colleagues throughout the organization is critical. This position is onsite M-F and based at our global headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska with up to 50% travel.

      In-office tasks:

      ·Assist Studio manager

      ·Protégé for lead Photographer

      ·Editing video short creations

      ·Archiving

      ·Keywording

      ·Managing assets in DAM

      ·Prop room management

      ·Scheduling photoshoots

      ·Leading portrait photography (solo travel)

      ·Batching / processing photography

      ·Project research

      ·Data entry

      On-location (travel) tasks:

      ·Assisting lead Photographer

      ·Take direction from Studio manager

      ·Capture b-roll when viable

      ·Prop and staging assistance, moving furniture

      ·Errand running

      ·Scout potential photoshoot locations and venues

      ·Gather model releases

      ·Second shooter in some cases

      This is a Canon / PC based working environment. All work captured is licensed/owned by HDR.

      ·Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Video or viable industry experience

      ·Must possess a valid driver's license

      ·Able to travel 50% - travel between HDR offices and project locations

      ·Proficient with professional cameras and lighting equipment

      ·Proficient in Adobe Premier, Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge

      ·Carry/roll up to 70 lbs. of gear

      ·Able to work long hours, standing

      ·Proven writing and editing ability, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks

      ·Strong communication skills (ability to communicate efficiently and effectively).

      ·Ability to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions critical to job success.

      ·Quick self-starter, team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles; detail-oriented and strong administration skills.

      ·An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
