Until filled - Delivers content, concepts, skills, and assessments, as designated within the Greenwich Public Schools Physical Education / Health & Safety Education curriculum.
- Adapts curricular content, materials, and methods to develop relevant, sequential lesson plans that inform, guide, and challenge students.
- Develops lesson plans and supplementary learning activities compatible with the department's philosophy and aligned to unit, state, and national standards.
- Provides individualized, small-group, and large-group instruction in order to meet the needs of each student.
- Evaluates academic and social growth of students, prepares report cards, keeps appropriate records to include attendance reports, inventory checklists, and other record-keeping activities as necessary.
- Encourages students to think independently and to express original ideas.
- Evaluates each student’s progress in meeting the class/unit standards for Physical Education.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an effective and productive classroom environment.
- Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress.
- Participates in faculty obligations and the sponsorship of student activities
- CT State Certification as a Physical Education, Grades PreK-12, teacher (#044) and as a Health, Grades PreK-12, teacher (#043) required Greenwich Public Schools seeks a physical education / health teacher for Greenwich High School.

Position Summary
Each position is responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops knowledge, skills, and abilities in Physical Education in alignment with the Greenwich Public Schools curriculum for each associated unit of study.
