Physical Education Teacher | 1.0 FTE | Date Needed: 08/19/2024 | 10 Month Calendar Internal & External applicants must submit: Talent Ed application, current resume, one current letter of professional reference. All External applicants must provide a copy of current license *The salary schedule for the 24-25 school year is currently under negotiation and will be updated upon settlement. Hiring Administrator: Christopher Benz GENERAL DUTIES: Physical education is an academic subject and, as such, demands the same education rigor as other core subjects. Physical education provides students with a planned, sequential, K-12 standards-based program of curricula and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors for active living, physical fitness, sportsmanship, self-efficacy and emotional intelligence. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from an accredited institution The ability to follow oral and written instructions The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds The ability to work harmoniously with others Proficient oral and written communication skills in English Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District Possess and maintain a current CPR and First Aid card Demonstrate a strong command of the physical skills necessary to teach a variety of sports, games, and activities Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons To view the full job description please visit the following link: Teacher - Physical Education https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sG8Rk8q2JhwlQ3ZKLxSPmza-lFB7vkfGUOirya6QgXg/viewAbout the company
