- Design and deliver complete substation physical design packages—from general arrangements to grounding and conduit plans.
- Specify high-voltage equipment including circuit breakers, transformers, disconnect switches, and more.
- Perform critical engineering calculations for bus sizing, grounding, lightning protection, and thermal ratings.
- Lead and mentor Technicians, Designers, and Staff Engineers.
- Collaborate across disciplines—civil, structural, protection & control, SCADA—to ensure seamless integration.
- Support construction with site visits, design clarifications, and conflict resolution.
- Contribute to project budgeting, billing, and proposal development.
- Engage with clients and support business development initiatives.
- Strong technical expertise in substation layout and equipment specification.
- Proficiency in physical design and electrical engineering principles.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Leadership and mentorship skills to guide junior engineers.
- Familiarity with proposal development and client engagement.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
