- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status, and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
- Deliver purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at the patient's home, using procedures and techniques consistent with the physician's plan of care to produce a change in condition or function.
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic devices for use outside of therapy sessions.
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments and handoffs.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is required.
- Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- 2+ years of experience in basic acute care.
- Experience in CNOR, CSSM, Surgical Services, Surgical Director, Medical Director, Operations Director, PACU, OR, and Pre-Op is advantageous.

Job Description
The Physical Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients. This involves coordination with the physician and the patient care team to ensure seamless and effective treatment. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and actively participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on achieving goals, engaging patients, and enhancing the overall patient experience. The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing or directing a majority of the patient's physical therapy to support them throughout the continuum of care.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a hospice facility with 222 beds and an expansion plan for 60 additional beds within 18-20 months. There are 10 operating rooms, and the facility is very busy with specialties such as orthopedics, urology, physical therapy, and gynecology. The director oversees multiple areas including OR, Pre-op, PACU, PAT, SPD, and Endoscopy, with a total of 92 full-time employees and 4 leaders. The culture is recognized as amazing, and the position offers great benefits.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75982.40 - $110656.00/yr.
