Shriners Children's Portland is a premier pediatric orthopaedic subspecialty medical center. We have an opportunity for a Physical Therapist to join our Motion Analysis Center team. This Physical Therapy position is analysis-based (i.e. rec, cerebral palsy, intoe/outtoe, etc.).
Responsibilities
The focus of this position will be to perform state of the art physical therapy evaluation, coupled with 3D Motion Capture, in the evaluation and assessment of pediatric patients with complex movement difficulties. This core member of the Motion Analysis Lab team will provide clinical support by performing physical examinations, data collection, integration & interpretation of 3D instrumented gait analysis and clinical data into a comprehensive report for treatment decision making. The Motion Analysis Center currently averages 5-6 motion analyses per week. Duties will also include participation in gait research and providing education to the community and medical staff. Through our dynamic team approach, you'll work with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy.
Certification/Licensure
Licensed in state of practice
Skills
1 year physical therapy experience preferred
New graduates considered
Pediatric experience preferred
Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong computer skills
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in pediatric instrumented gait analysis
Other
