Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002, OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016, OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure.
Ability to read, write, and communicate with clinic staff, physicians, and the public.
Must possess good hand-eye coordination and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
Must have the ability to conduct and interpret tests administered to patients.
Master’s or DPT degree.
Two (2) years of PT experience.
Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) preferred.
- Provide direct patient care and diagnose and treat patients, ages 12 years and up, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.
- Will examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
- Work with patients to prevent mobility loss before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness-oriented programs.
- Provide documentation to ensure that UAMS’ policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA standards, are being met when treating patients.
- VA Home treatments.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

The Physical Therapist performs diagnostic testing and treatment and consults with staff regarding programming recommendations, primarily for patients with pelvic health and orthpedic deficits. Some patients with neurologic deficits will be seen as well. This position also supports treatment plan development for patients in the Arkansas State Veterans Home.
Summary of Job Duties:
This position is located in Northwest Arkansas and will support treatment plan development for patients in the PACE setting at UAMS and Washington Regional.
