- provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services, within scope of practice, in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders
- perform responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies, state, federal and regulatory licensing and accrediting requirements
- function according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team
- mostly inpatient, some outpatient therapies
- awesome team atmosphere, partners with the nursing team with regards to patient care
- Bachelor/Masters/Doctorate/Certificate Degree in Physical Therapy
- current state Physical Therapy license, or application to MO licensure in progress
- current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- one year of experience
Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapist, internally referred to as our Inpatient Physical Therapist or our Acute Care Physical Therapist. As a Physical Therapist for St. Joseph Medical Center Therapy Department, provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services, within scope of practice. Shift’s Available: Days
Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN)
Hours: 8-hour shift: 8:00a – 4:30p with Saturday and Holiday rotation
Location: St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC), Kansas City, MO
