      Work Schedule:

      100% FTE, 40 hours per week. 8 or 10-hour shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM and Friday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Hours may vary based on clinical rotation. You will rotate between Science Dr Medical Center, East Madison Hospital, and UnityPoint Health-Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI.

      We are seeking an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident to:

      • Attend and participate in didactic education designed to advance clinical reasoning and pattern recognition in orthopedic physical therapy.
      • Challenge your own and fellow residents’ clinical decision making through constructive feedback in didactic units and case presentations.
      • Form alliances with patients and their families with the common goal of optimizing function following acute and chronic episodes of pain and dysfunction as well as surgeries.
      • Collaborate with other providers in coordinating patient and family care across multiple services.
      • Serve as instructional assistant for the University of Wisconsin – Madison - Doctor of Physical Therapy orthopedic courses.

      Education:

      • Graduate of an accredited, entry-level degree program (Baccalaureate or higher) in Physical Therapy Required

      Licenses and Certifications:

      • Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin Required
      • Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator Required
