**Job Summary:**
The Physician Assistant provides primary healthcare to a select group of patients within their area of training/expertise, focusing on wellness promotion, illness prevention, and managing minor acute and stable chronic illnesses. They collaborate with the supervising Physician in accordance with education and state laws.
**Responsibilities:**
- Triage, diagnose, and treat illness and physical conditions within the specialty area of practice.
- Assess physical and psycho-social health status through medical history and physical examination.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests.
- Perform therapeutic and corrective measures, prescribe medication, and provide preventive health maintenance and education.
- Teach and counsel patients, families, and groups.
- Adhere to clinical policies and procedures, including infection control principles and confidentiality.
- Provide clinical direction to RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Comply with guidelines set by the supervising physician and regulatory agencies.
- Perform special assignments as requested.
- Prepare written documentation as required and maintain necessary records.
- Direct, instruct, and evaluate physician assistant students.
- Attend meetings and ensure regular attendance.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
- Physician Assistant degree from an accredited University.
- Physician Assistant license registration certificate and DEA registration certificate for the relevant state.
- National certification in the specialty area.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
**Physical Demands:**
This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work may be required.
**Pay:**
$102,835 - $122,907
