Overview:
Hospital for Special Surgery, #1 in Orthopedics for the last 14 years, is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full Time Physician Assistant for one of our physician offices. Dr. Drakos is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the foot and ankle as well as sports medicine injuries The position consists of seeing patients for initial and follow-up visits, office work and OR. It is a 40 hr/week position and requires travel between our Main Campus on the upper east side and our Long Island campus in Uniondale 1-2 times a week.
Position Highlights:
Hours: Monday-Friday (no weekends/no call)
3 days in the out-patient clinic, 2 days operative
Medical Benefits: Start on day 1!
PTO: 5 weeks + 12 sick days

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited PA program, current NYS, BLS/ACLS certification and NCCPA board certification are required.
Also, the candidate must have current Infection Control Certification and have completed a child abuse recognition course. The PA must have excellent communication skills and be a team player. Surgical experience or training is preferred.
