Under the administrative and technical supervision of a physician, who accepts total responsibility for the health care of the patient when determining diagnosis and therapeutic treatment, the Physician Assistant is responsible for performing medical tasks in the care and treatment of patients.
Masters' Degree required. Certificate to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license. Approval for privileges by Medical Staff. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association.
2 years current experience working as a Physician Assistant in an acute care environment preferred.
