- An interdisciplinary, outpatient-based pain management program offering full spectrum pain management treatments and procedures .
- Provide medical care for patients by treating pain, performing medical testing and interpret results to determine the best treatment options, and maintain appropriate medical records and results.
- Assess characteristics of patient pain such as intensity, location, and duration using standardized clinical measures, including minimally invasive procedures.
- Monitor effectiveness of pain management interventions through observation of patient progress and responses to treatments.
- Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary pain team to deliver comprehensive pain assessments and treatments, provide consultations to primary care providers and specialists regarding pain management.
- Perform basic musculoskeletal assessments and provide recommendations for non-opioid pharmacologic therapy for patients with chronic pain.
- Use evidence-based strategies to help manage and/or taper patients on high dose opiate therapy and to prevent member misuse and abuse of controlled substances.
- Access to C-arm at select locations can also be used for pain management and diagnostic imaging procedures, providing real-time visualization of a patient's anatomy during the procedure. We have technicians in the office who assists the physician.

- Completion of (or in process of completing) an accredited Interventional Pain Management fellowship.
- BC/BE in PM&R, Pain Management, Anesthesia, or other relevant specialty.
- Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain).
- Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Qualifications:
New York Residents Only : The salary range for New York residents is $410,434 to $618,701 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
