      Your Opportunity:

      This role reports to the Professional Service Managers, Physical Therapy. The incumbent provides leadership for physical therapy practice, provides clinical guidance, planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation to assure the provision of evidence-based, high quality clinical services at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. The Physiotherapist III - Clinical Practice Lead (CPL) prioritizes, develops, and coordinates the implementation and evaluation of practice improvement initiatives, learning resources, and professional practice guidelines. Ensures that changes in professional practice standards are implemented within the professional service and, in conjunction with program leadership, that these new practices are reflected in service delivery in programs to improve patient care. Working closely with program leadership, other CPL’s and clinical staff, the CPL employs systematic knowledge transfer strategies to achieve effective; timely and sustainable mobilization of evidence-based clinical practice, policies, initiatives, and standards into clinical settings in order to improve service delivery and patient care. The incumbent may be involved with coordinating or facilitating research projects related to best practice. May be required to complete direct clinical work based on operational needs.

      Description:

      As a Physiotherapist III, you will be an integral member of our team through your leadership to other healthcare professionals (PT Is, PT IIs, Assistants) where you will facilitate the development and ongoing monitoring of clinical standards of practice for physiotherapy and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area. You will collaborate with management to support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department's operational plan strategies and may coordinate and monitor the care delivery for daily operations.

      Required Qualifications:

      Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program; or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

      Additional Required Qualifications:

      Must have effective problem-solving, planning, analytical thinking and organizational skills as well as strong interpersonal, teaching and communication (verbal and written) skills. Minimum of 8-10 years clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting working within interdisciplinary teams with children, adults or seniors with complex/tertiary rehabilitation needs is required. Working knowledge and experience with the National Implementation Research Network's Implementation Science frameworks and tools, and the ADKAR change management model. Experience in a position with responsibility for leadership or coordination of teams or programs. Must be able demonstrate resilience in the face of an ever-changing health care landscape and corresponding shifts in project priorities. Responsible to maintain active registration with the Physiotherapy Alberta College & Association (PACA) throughout the duration of employment. The successful incumbent will be capable of performing lifts, transfers, repositioning, and other physically demanding activities associated with mentoring and modelling with therapy staff or while holding a clinical caseload.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      Proficiency in Connect Care and the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Familiarity with tertiary level physio modalities such as EKSO, Zero G, and CAREN is preferred.
