      Job summary

The NHS is changing. More emphasis on community-based care means there's never been a better time to join us.

We believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition, so we provide flexible and holistic care in a range of community settings including patient homes, community hospitals and local clinics. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable qualified Physiotherapist to join our caring and progressive team in Margate.

We're a close team but we're never exclusive, if you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas we would love to hear from you.

      Main duties of the job

Do you have a passion for stroke rehabilitation? Do you want to gain knowledge in this area? Would you like to work beside the seaside. If so.......

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, open minded Physiotherapist to come and work with us and break down some of the existing barriers in the provision of inpatient community rehabilitation.

We are based on a 15 bedded stroke rehabilitation unit at Westbrook House, Margate. We provide rehabilitation to patients who are currently unable to go home and require an intensive, specialist therapy programme to reach their goals.

We are an innovative unit with a holistic rehabilitation ethos where all team members are focussed on promoting independence and working as a team with staff, patients and their loved ones.

You will be provided with specialist stroke training if that is required and have the opportunity to develop your interdisciplinary skills.

For more information, an informal chat or to book a visit please contact Patricia Funnel, patricia.funnell1@nhs.net

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
