      Austin Industrial, Inc. - We seek an experienced Pipefitter Helper based in Houston, Texas.
      This position requires a Driver's License and a TWIC Card.
      Maintenance position working 4x10s plus occasional OT - No Per Diem.

      Pipefitter Helper

      This person will assist pipefitters and pipe fabricators to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Other duties may be assigned.

      Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
      • Cuts or drills holes in walls to permit passage of pipes, using pneumatic drill.
      • Selects specific type and size of pipe.
      • Mounts pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipe.
      • Assists Pipefitter to install valves, couplings, and other fittings.
      • May disassemble and remove damage or worn pipe.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications Required for this Position:

      Education: – no minimum education requirements.

      Certifications/ Licenses: NCCER, a Valid Driver’s License, and a TWIC Card.

      Experience: – 2 years of experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
