Job Description

High School Degree required; College Degree Preferred.
No experience is required: 1 year Control Center, Pipeline or Terminal operations experience is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to proof work for accuracy.
Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in navigation of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook products required.
Strong attention to detail, with the knowledge of petroleum products and industry terminology.
Effective analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively and with other personnel, corporate departments, and external customers required.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, managing time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines.
Ability to work in a team environment required.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and independently conduct job accountabilities.
Knowledge of Operating, Maintenance, & Emergency Procedures.
Knowledge of system specific, MOP’s Line fills, and Operating Procedures for the console qualified on.Knowledge of basic pipeline hydraulics.
Job Description:
Responsible for learning all aspects of pipeline safety, operations, and data entry for NuStar’s systems. Successful completion of assigned simulator tasks.
Rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Becomes familiar with System Specifics, such as:
oValve sequencing at each location
oRemote switch procedures for each location
oLines startup and shutdown procedures
oStatus Alarms
oStorage Configuration at each location
oHydraulics
oCalculation of ETA’s
• Becomes familiar with Pipeline Scheduling, Refinery Operations, Pipeline and Terminal Partners, and Field Operations personnel.
• Becomes familiar with Coordination requirements with Pipeline Scheduling, Refinery Operations, Pipeline and Terminal Partners, and Field Operations personnel.
• Assumes supervised operations of pipeline systems.
• Becomes familiar with responses to emergency conditions, making required notifications and completing required documentation.Requirements:
