      Responsibilities

      Experience & Education

      REQUIRED

      • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline or equivalent experience
      • 10+ years oil & gas industry experience
      • 2+ years as Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Product Line Manager or Technical Sales Manager

      PREFFERED

      • Master's Degree (MBA)

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

      REQUIRED

      • Must possess working knowledge of the product line and products and/or services and their applications/operations.
      • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
      • Must be self-motivated & an effective team manager.
      • Ability to manage, develop, coach and mentor teams across organizational boundaries.
      • Must be able to make decisions and be able to identify and implement appropriate improvements.
      • Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, negotiating, influencing, and planning skills.
      • Knowledge of communications and public relation techniques. Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations.
      • Strong organizational and effective communication skills
      • Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and clients. Work effectively across a diverse multicultural multilingual community
      • Familiarity with reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

      Travel Requirement:

      This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to 25-50%

      Qualifications

      The Geozone Business Manager is responsible for the Geozone Product Line strategy, Commercial Optimization Options/Implementation for New Technology, Business Development and Customer Engagement in conjunction with the Area to drive top line Product Line growth, assuring Service Quality Standards are met, Technical Guidance, and Resource Allocation by ensuring Product Line demands are being met whilst optimizing across the Geozone (People, Assets, inventory).

      In addition, the role is responsible for field competency development and training.

      The Geozone Business Manager will report to the Geozone Sr. Vice President and interface closely with the Area Vice Presidents and Global Product Line Vice Presidents to determine and assist in the implementation of Product Line strategies. The role will be to ally regularly with all areas of the sales organization to assure the Segment is being represented to meet client expectations and ensure a healthy market share position. In addition, this role will manage the white space between the different Product Lines and capitalize on multi–Product Line relationships and bundling opportunities.

      VISION & LEADERSHIP

      • Define Geozone Product Line strategy in collaboration with Global Product Line, Geozone Leadership and Area Vice Presidents. Ensures all applicable components of the Geozone and Global Product Line strategy are developed into a Geozone Product Line strategy and fully executed across the Geozone.
      • Research and identify opportunities for new and emerging products and new technology.
      • Responsible and accountable for refining the above strategies within the Geozone and supporting the Area Vice Presidents in execution of the strategy.
      • Define Product Line technology specific sales targets for the Geozone, in collaboration with the Geozone Sales Leader, via budgeting and local market strategy.
      • Communicate and drive technology deployment and technology budget priorities through functional reporting lines from Geozone technical Salespeople.
      • Demonstrates leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times.

      OPERATIONS

      • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, operations, global product line leaders and marketing to develop and provide product definitions, as well as be responsive to customer needs and market opportunities in support of Country Operations managers.
      • Work with manufacturing and operations in order to manage inventory and asset utilization including recurring demand planning.
      • Partner with other Product Lines throughout the Geozone in order to offer clients an integrated solution suite.
      • Drive the Service Delivery process by providing assurance and support for investigating incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and remedial actions are completed and accountability is applied to the appropriate level of the organization (including Geozone Product Line data integrity within WPTS)
      • Contribute to and Review Country Bid Summary Analysis (BSA’s) for applicable projects with justification both strategic and financial.
      • Coordinate teams and resources to ensure technical solutions/designs are delivered to the customer.
      • Share accountability with Sales and Business Development teams for local customer relationships and market share encroachment. Maintain a high profile within the customer community.

      COMMUNICATION

      • Maintain effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.
      • Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to their reports

      PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

      • Actively engage with employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities
      • Collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personnel and to foster an environment that supports the attraction and retention of a high performing talented workforce.
      • Influence the organization to ensure time is scheduled for team members to participate and to complete training & competency assurance program.
      • Create a reliable organization and succession plan.

      FINANCIAL

      • Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure.
      • Partner with manufacturing, Geozone operations and sales to develop CAPEX needs, planning and tracking.
      • Collaborate with area leadership for opportunities for margin improvement and expansion.
