Planner | Kaiwhakamāhere (Palmerston North | Te Papaioea)
The opportunity | Te kāinga rua
Join our planning practice, where you will play a key role in our Palmerston North-based team, delivering projects predominantly across the lower North Island. In joining the team, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of projects currently shaping the region, and work alongside a diverse range of clients.
This role will build your technical understanding, experience working with clients, and leading projects that shape our taiao. As part of a nationwide practice which includes some of the county’s top planning practitioners, you will be well supported in your professional development. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the other technical disciplines within our Community Shaping team including landscape architects, transport planners, urban designers, and environmental advisors. During this time of significant change in our planning system, we are investing heavily in our people so that we are at the forefront of the reforms and our planners have the skills needed to be effective into the future.
You will join a tight-knit and supportive team that is known and respected for their high-quality planning and environmental consulting advice to a diverse range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work with Waka Kotahi, Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Defence Force, regional and district councils, local Iwi, Rūnanga and Hapū and several other government agencies. You will be part of a team that is proud of their work as trusted advisors on community shaping projects across the region and around Aotearoa New Zealand.
