      General Description

      Located at the site, the Project Principal Work Planner is responsible for creating & managing work plans for Direct Hire workforce to include a Sub-Contractor workforce ensuring compliance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the company. Possesses a working knowledge of all plant systems, logistics, and associated equipment. Generally, has 10-12 years’ experience in the heavy Industrial Maintenance & Construction field.

      Specific Description include but not limited to:

      The purpose of the Project Principal Work Planner assignment is to ensure all employees follow health, safety, and environmental aspects of their assigned tasks including but are not limited to.

      • Lead job walks and get familiar with the units you will be working in. Learn the equipment, etc.
      • Identify who and all personnel you will interact with. Build relationships.
      • Develop plot plans as required, in a manner that others can identify job locations.
      • Working knowledge of Word, Access, MS Excel must have ability to generate and format, reports in a manner that can be understood and presented to management.
      • Participating in the scope definition process, working with the client with a focus on the mechanical activities (equipment inspections, repairs, and capital projects).
      • Physically perform field walk, to perform planning activities for jobs assigned in the Excel and or SAP planning tool and produce in accordance with guidelines (to include required manpower, specific resource discipline, duration of task, total work hours per task, BOM, Equipment, sub-contractors etc.) set by lead planners, planning coordinators and TAR Coordinator.
      • Maintaining all planning documentation including progress in (Access, Excel spreadsheet etc.) defined by the planning coordinator and TAR Coordinator.
      • Coordinating and/or planning capital project activities to include any associated TAR activities.
      • Supporting secondary discipline planning to finalize plans for the mechanical activities associated with I&E and rotating equipment jobs.
      • Assemble organization and distribution of electronic and physical job packages to include (PID, Picture, BOM, Job scope, Technical Data, BOM, Subcontractor support coordination etc.)
      • Chair meetings, Review and Ensure executing contractor understands the contents of their and associated contractors, mechanical work packages.
      • Providing field support to the Execution organization for their respective work scopes, including safety, and quality oversight.
      • Generate, update, and monitor progress of project, provide informative feedback to management.
      • Perform daily field observations and generate a daily journal with an account of daily events (notes/photographs) Documenting daily findings and events (notes/photographs).
      • Ensuring discovery work is addressed through the specific work process providing planning/estimating/material, and/or service procurement as necessary.
      • Providing contractors with any additional documentation needed to conduct work properly.
      • Attend and provide informative facts-based feedback on close out of projects via lessons learned. Participating in review meetings and creation of lessons learned
      • Archive electronic and physical historical data (journal, photos, other) Ensuring planning details, daily notes, photos, and other documentation are properly archived.
      • Conducts Daily/Weekly safety audits observing Sub-contractor work activity to ensure Operational Discipline is being upheld, any work permits are in place to include Confined Space Entry permits, LTO, and that supporting TSTI/JSA is in place, and being followed.
      • Participates in Owner Daily/Weekly Safety audits.
      • Works closely with the site capital engineering group to support scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
      • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
      • Create and Sustain a Safe Work Environment, Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Tracking Budget Expenses, Strategic Planning, Dealing with complexity, Financial Planning and Strategy

      Requirements

      Skills and Qualifications

      • High School Diploma/GED
      • The ability to create sketches / ISO's if needed.
      • Possesses 10-12 years of direct related craft experience with achieved certifications/qualifications through educational institutions, technical programs, NCCER etc.
      • Possesses 3-5 years of experience with direct supervision of employees within the related craft disciplines working in a fast-paced maintenance/construction type environment.
      • Possesses general computer skills (i.e., email, WORD, Excel programs), good verbal communications skills, including phone, radio, and plant intercom systems.
      • Capable of Planning & Scheduling related work/discipline activities.

      Physical Requirements

      • Capable of being exposed to dusty, hot/cold/wet conditions (snow-rain)
      • General - Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, elevated walkways, and walk, stand, stoop, work in awkward positions underneath equipment, for extended periods of time, enter tight congested areas to include awkward position, and be able to lift 50 lbs. single person – 80 lbs. w/two persons.

      Work Schedule

      The work schedule is 5/8’s

      Note: At times, additional work hours & schedules will exist at the request of the client to meet specific work schedules support Maintenance, Capital, and Production work activities.
