      Description:

      Prudential International Insurance (PII) Finance has a career opportunity for an individual interested in the position of Planning & Analysis Specialist within the International Cost Analysis and Performance Measurement (ICAPM) team.

      PII Finance supports Prudential's International Insurance business which accounts for about half of Prudential's adjusted operating income with operations in Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Indonesia, Chile, India, China and Africa as well as U.S. and regional support staff. The ICAPM team within PII Finance is responsible for quarterly expense reporting, expense management, and cash management including budgeting and forecasting for International Insurance’s Corporate operations, along with the monitoring of business initiatives.

      Responsibilities:

      • The qualified candidate will have exposure to senior leaders while gaining in-depth knowledge of the expense management function supporting International Insurance.
      • The candidate will have the following responsibilities which will require interaction with various departments within the International Insurance business, other International Finance associates and the Corporate Centers:
      • Coordinate quarterly financial reporting for expenses including the Singapore Regional office
      • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting of PII’s Corporate expenses
      • Partner with Finance Shared Services (FSS) and external strategic service provider (EXL) on ongoing expense planning and reporting
      • Support International Businesses’ strategic plans including its growth and efficiency initiatives such as Digital Transformation, Value of New Business (VoNB), and the EM Growth Strategy
      • Prepare insightful financial analysis to drive outcomes
      • Monitor and manage expenses for assigned departments/initiatives
      • Partner with the Tax Department to support tax planning and transfer pricing requests
      • Support PII’s cash management process as needed
      • Assist with various ad-hoc requests for Senior Management


      We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who will make a difference in our organization and possesses the following q ualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree required: Concentration in Accounting or Finance is preferred
      • 3-5 years accounting/financial related experience
      • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities under tight deadlines
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Ability to think strategically and evaluate process effectiveness
      • Self-motivated and proactive with an attention to details
      • Strong desire to learn
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with all levels of management in the U.S. and our international operations
      • Proficient in MS Office suite in particular Excel
      • Knowledge of Prudential’s financial systems (Forecast System, Oracle, Financial Data Warehouse, etc.) preferred
      • Overtime will be required during peak periods
      • Foreign language skills are not necessary

      Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $68,400.00 to $101,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
