      Permanent (Full-Time)
      Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
      Location: Birmingham - B46 1DA

      DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Planning & Training Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including the storage and dispatch of volume orders and goods.

      WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

      • To effectively deliver and plan the overal Warehouse plans - peak planning and BAU across all contracts across the site.
      • Execute against customer requirements and operational KPIs.
      • Manage agency Relationship.
      • Maintain effective communication processes with all key stakeholders.
      • Ensure warehouse cap aligns to the customer volume forecast
      • Ensure recruitment plans are in line with cost.
      • Monitor and forecast future volume increases and / or store changes and adjust resource requirements as needed
      • Ensure legal compliance, working in a safe manner.

      WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

      • Previous and practical experience as a Planning/Training Manager is essential
      • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
      • Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
      • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
      • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage, organise and train direct reports

      A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be preferred and well-received.
