      Plant 52 | Utility Relief I Shift 3

      Position Overview

      Position Objective

      To assist the MTO department in the processing of product orders by performing a variety of departmental duties.

      Essential Duties

      (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility)

      1. Pulling product for orders both Carpet and Hard surface

      2. Stocking product in bins

      3. Relocating product

      4. Pulling room scenes

      5. Dropped styles

      6. Labeling

      7. Consolidator

      8. Packer

      9. Tile Utility

      Schedule

      1. Must attend job on a regular basis and comply with the corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness policy.

      2. Must adhere to a normal work schedule, i.e., starting and stopping times and where applicable, rotating days.

      Non-Essential Duties

      (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility)

      1. Other duties as requested by Lead, Supervisor or management.

      2. Will be expected to participate in stretching exercises as directed by the supervisor or lead.

      3. Will be required to participate in the department safety program.

      Physical Requirements

      1. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.

      2. Must be able to walk up and down stairs throughout the day.

      3. Must be able to walk/stand up to two hours at a time.

      4. Must be able to balance on a small step stool/ladder when pulling swatches in upper bins.

      5. Continuous use of arms and hands.

      6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

      7. Must be able to push a loaded buggy down an aisle throughout the day.

      8. Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks, carrying up to 500 lbs

      Other Requirements

      1. Should be familiar with Shaw inventory styles and colors.

      2. Must be literate and be able to perform basic mathematics (for counting swatch inventory).

      3. Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.

      1. On-the-job training; review of responsibilities from Supervisor.

      2. EQA Training

      3. Overview of the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

      Safety & Security Requirements

      1. Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean work area.

      2. Exercise proper lifting techniques.

      3. Use handrails when going up and down stairs.

      4. Must use care when climbing ladders.

      Work Shift

      8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to out-punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
