      WHAT YOU'LL DO

      The Plant Controller will oversee the accounting operations for specific brands within the ABV Family, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards.

      **Hybrid schedule includes 3 days in office & 2 days working from home.**

      Reports to: Chief Financial Officer – located in Charlotte, NC

      • Oversee all cost center accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Inventory, Fixed Assets and G/L, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
      • Prepare and review monthly journal entries, allocations, intercompany eliminations, detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, roll forwards and supporting schedules.
      • Manage the month end closing process under tight deadlines, within five (5) business days ensuring accuracy and monitoring for errors or unusual/unexpected activity.
      • Maintain inventory and prepare reports to analyze material, labor and overhead variances.
      • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reporting and analysis of P&L fluctuations.
      • Provide monthly operational reporting and insights for review of monthly financial results.
      • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards, corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
      • Coordination of physical inventory counts and oversight of inventory controls throughout multiple revenue centers, making strategic recommendations for improvement, as required.
      • Ensures that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls consistent with corporate guidelines and policies.
      • Facilitate and provide support during the external audits of the Company.
      • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including oversight of the filing of sales and excise tax returns.
      • Provide thought leadership and insight on achievement of key performance metrics with a strong focus on cost reduction and improved operating efficiencies.
      • Support operations and the sales team with respect to capital expenditures, asset management, product development, utilization/capacity, costing and other financial matters.
      • Partner with Operations and FP&A in support of monthly/quarterly/annual budgeting and forecasting process.
      • Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
      • Champion and lead continuous improvement (e.g., streamline close cycle), partnering with others to identify and execute process improvement initiatives.
      • Perform ad hoc analysis and other tasks in support of business initiatives as required.

      WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

      • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred.
      • 10+ years’ hands-on accounting managerial experience ideally in a consumer products manufacturing environment.
      • Expertise in financial and accounting software applications. Knowledge of SAP preferred.
      • Proficiency in MS Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
      • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
      • Strong analytical, strategic and critical thinking skill set.
      • Ability to work hybrid schedule, 3 days in office & 2 days working from home with high-speed internet connection.

        Physical Requirements

        • Ability to sit for extended periods (e.g., 6–8 hours per day), typically in front of a computer.
        • Manual dexterity for keyboarding, calculator use, and general office tasks.
        • Ability to read printed materials, financial reports, and data on computer screens.
        • Ability to hear and communicate clearly in person, over the phone, or in virtual meetings.
        • Occasionally lift or carry files, documents, or office supplies, generally not exceeding 20 pounds.
        • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail over long periods, particularly during high-pressure financial reporting or budgeting periods.
