- Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types plant
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures.
- Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.
- Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts utilised.
- Provide technical support and advice to the team and clients when necessary.
- Participate in continuous training and development to keep up with industry standards and technological advancements.
- Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (HGV Maintenance, Agricultural Maintenance)
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems preferred
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and a commitment to applying safety practices at all times.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- CPCS Card Holder or equivalent.
- Experience with specific brands and models of cranes in our fleet.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Experience directly as a Plant Fitter either in the hire industry or within the Plant Department of a construction company is preferred.
