Job Description

- Process direct ship transactions timely and accurately
- Review and process warehouse transactions as needed
- Confirm A/P transactions are timely and accurate
- Process transportation paperwork to ensure accurate revenue and expenses are reflected
- Recommend changes and enhancements to the EFC software as necessary
- Test new releases for completeness and accuracy
- Update divisional personnel with software updates and changes
- Timely reconciliation of all accounts, including submission of corrections or adjustments
- Maintain and validate current schedules of reserves, prepays, and accruals.
- Prepare monthly analytical reports as requested.
- Review and compare monthly financial results to the plan and the previous year.
- Interpret the results and advise management of any deviations
- Prepare the annual budget for Plant Foods using historical data and current market trends
- Review with the Director and submit the final budget in a timely manner
- Prepare a weekly risk position report for the Treasurer
- Supervise the proper allocation of fertilizer tonnage tax
- Supervise the submission of the necessary tonnage tax reports and filings
- Have experience working in agriculture and enjoy being a key player in the industry

- Have exceptional organizational skills
- Accounting degree
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
- Understanding of the fertilizer and transportation industry (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (preferred)

OBJECTIVE:
Oversee and process all of the accounting duties for the Plant Foods and Transportation divisions To support the software programs and accounting procedures to ensure accurate accounting for all transactions of the Plant Foods Division. Coordinate the administrative activities to ensure timely customer billing and vendor payment while maximizing company cash flow. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.
