Operate and Safely Maintain Equipment: Manage the process of pumping or repackaging gases, including operating the filling apparatus and ensuring all associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices are regularly inspected and maintained.
Filling and Testing: Accurately fill cylinders or containers to the proper pressure or weight, and execute all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are promptly removed from service. Conduct periodic safety checks of the plant for safe and efficient operation.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate cylinder filling records and follow all required procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Warehouse Duties: Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment. Assist with loading and unloading trucks/trailers and support inventory tasks.
Plant Maintenance: Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lifting 25–75 lbs. and occasionally lifting 76 to over 100 lbs.
Capability for prolonged standing up to 8 hours, with frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motion.
Ability to perform occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to safely drive a forklift.
Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
Reasoning/Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Aptitude for solving practical problems and interpreting various instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule form).
