      We are currently looking for a Plant Operator/ Sr. Plant Operator for our Plaquemine, LA office.

      POSITION DESCRIPTION:

      JOB SUMMARY:

      To monitor daily operation and maintenance activities associated with the terminal, pipeline, and compression facilities in the Choctaw operating area. This position will be responsible for environmental, health & safety for natural gas, ethylene, ethane, propylene, propane, VCM, and brine through the pipeline system, compressor station, pump station, and terminal located in Port Allen, Plaquemine, and Geismer LA areas. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, ensuring safe movement of product in and out of the pipelines; serve as dispatch for movements in and out of the pipelines and storage and as primary contact for customers; continuously monitor equipment and provide light maintenance where needed. Activities may include inject/withdraw product from cavern, knowing minimum and maximum pressures and requirements, field operate fixed bed driers and scrubbers, train to competency and control the process, perform mathematical computations, and train in and train others in all operational job specific areas. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident, and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance and operational procedures as associated with DOT 195 and 192 regulations, industry standards, manufacturer and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. Successful candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures. This is a rotating shift position.

      REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

      • Physical Requirements - Standing/walking; climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items 50 lbs for a minimum of 50 feet;
      • Working Conditions - Exposure to extreme heat and/or cold temperatures; enclosed spaces
      • Mechanical aptitude
      • Strong computer skills
      • Excellent verbal communication skills
      • Problem solving skills and ability to manage filing system
      • History of safe work
      • Valid Driver License

      PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

      • Experience working with natural gas pipelines, hazardous liquid stations, pump station, and compressor facilities.
      • Familiar with DOT 192 and 195 Regulations
      • Petro chemical field experience

      REQUIRED EDUCATION:

      • High School Diploma

      PREFERRED EDUCATION:

      • Associate Degree
