      To grow and sustain our operations business, we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Plant Process Engineer to expand the process engineering expertise within our European engineering team. Based at our operating facility in Strasbourg, this opportunity will suit a talented achiever looking to showcase their skills within a high performing team.

      This role will work directly with the EMEA Plant Process Engineering team providing primary process and operational support to our Air Products operating facilities.


      As a Plant Process Engineer, you will :

      • Provide process technical support to a range of Industrial Gases plants primarily across the Northern Continent region, working closely with various operating and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve critical plant issues.

      • Assess plant efficiency, identifying underperformance and driving resolution to ensure on target plant performance.

      • Supervise specialist onsite process activities including defrosts, cooldowns, ORIs and commissioning.

      • Evaluate plant productivity improvements, either theoretically or through plant testing and develop/implement the solution to realise those benefits.

      • Produce P&ID change notes, process designs, equipment specifications and control strategies for plant modifications.

      • Provide process support to maintenance activities and plant shutdowns.

      • Support Plant Hazard Reviews and safety retrofit projects including the resulting close out work.

      • Provide technical operations input to the business area, supporting initiatives including contract rolls, new plants and plant relocations.

      • Uphold a high standard of engineering practice, technical governance, and operational discipline.


      To be successful you will have :

      • A high level of technical expertise, ideally suited to someone with a chemical engineering or related degree with 4+ years relevant technical experience.

      • Practical, onsite plant experience with a ‘hands-on’ approach.

      • Discipline to work to a schedule and manage competing priorities.

      • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

      • The ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a technical team.

      • Be prepared to respond to plant problems outside working hours with a willingness to travel to site at short notice.

      • Experience with control systems and Aspen DMC is desirable.

      • Fluent in French and English or German and English.
