Job Description

- Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of their respective work areas, monitoring equipment, and preparation of equipment for operations and execution of Permit to Work activities.
- Adjusts apparatus controls, adjusts valves, and operates electric switches and valve controls as necessary to maintain assigned process operations within prescribed standards.
- During respective shift, monitors, inspects and reports terminal equipment physical and operating conditions.
- Monitors assigned plant operations and records data from control meters, gauges and recording chart readings.
- Performs all work in accordance with sound safety practices and using appropriate safety devices and equipment.
- Implements operation activities at the terminal facility including start up and shut down of equipment.
- Participates in the Emergency Response Actions on shift in an emergency event.
- May be required in emergency situations to report to work during unscheduled times.
- Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime; share on-call duties.
- Conduct work group/safety toolbox briefings.
- Experience in petroleum or chemical manufacturing facility or an LNG facility is preferred.
- Must have a good basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic theory and application and be able to learn to use manuals and other resources to apply that knowledge in requirements of the job.
- Working knowledge of plant installations and specifications with experience in accepted industry procedures, safety, and environmental policies.
- Experience with cryogenic refrigeration, gas processing, and/or steam preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a strong team environment.
- Self-starter with ability to work strategically under little direction.
- Ability to focus on meeting/exceeding performance parameters.
- Able to navigate through HMI displays on various types of equipment.
- Strong attention to details.

Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture of Qatar Petroleum & ExxonMobil, has an exciting opportunity in Operations at our Sabine Pass, TX location (approximately 10 minutes from Port Arthur, TX). We are looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed to be a part of our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America.
The role of the Process Operator is responsible for the operation of the facility following the technical and safety procedures and standards according with the Company business plan. The Process Operator performs routine operational activities on terminal equipment such as inspection, start-up, and shutdown on their shift. Process Operators interface directly with Operations Supervision, Managers, Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Contractors, and Vendors and uphold and ensure compliance with HSE and compliance standards for performance and behavior.
The Process Operator is a DOT covered position (PHMSA)

Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position :
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor or Associate degree and a minimum 2 years of experience in industrial operations and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position .
State issued Current and Valid Driver’s License – Pursuant to PHMSA, this is a DOT covered position with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining thereof.
