      About the Team: As a Plant Quality Engineer for the Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) Division, you will join a team of 15 engineers responsible for process quality and manufacturing of product shipped to over 400 customers on almost every continent. You will be a member of a team with a high “boots-on-ground” emphasis with as much time as possible spent in the production environment interacting with the product/process. The CVS department is a primary focus for the ZF Gainesville site with several upcoming projects that will expand the plant further into conventional and electrified vehicles.

      Position Summary: The Quality Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring the process quality during the manufacturing of steering and suspension components.

      What you can look forward to as a Plant Quality Engineer:

      • Manage Customer Zero-Mile issues (customer portal’s, etc.). Also manage Customer Warranty issues.
      • Manage 8D investigations or similar Corrective Action Process derived from Product and Process Audits, and from internal quality investigations. Perform internal quality investigations.
      • Serve as Customer contact concerning quality topics; this includes completion, submission & approval of customer PPAP’s as well as ensuring customer-specific requirements.
      • Coordinate new project introduction (product & process) and launch activities to ensure adherences with company procedures, TS16949 requirements, and customer expectations.
      • Provide technical quality support to project core team and support project team members with the creation of relevant quality documentation for each project –APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, etc.
      • Participate in Internal Audits. Perform Internal Process as prescribed by TCQ.
      • Perform Cpk, Cmk, and SPC studies per AIAG Standards. Perform MSA / Gage R&R studies per AIAG Standards.
      • Initiate and Maintain Quality Control Documentation (Work Instructions, Pruf Plan, Process FMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Inspection Record, SPTC, etc.).

      Your profile as a Plant Quality Engineer:

      • Bachelor’s in Engineering
      • 3-4+ years of experience (internship/co-op included).
      • Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering.
      • Working knowledge of product line(s) and engineering design principles.
      • Experience with engineering change systems.
      • Advanced understanding of engineering techniques and principles.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
      • Strong understanding for data evaluation and interpretation.
