Overview
A Fabrication Technician is responsible for assembling products in accordance with detailed drawings, specifications, and job orders, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret dimensional drawings and bill of materials. The role involves utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, including band saws, drill presses, and pipe benders, to accurately complete fabrication tasks. The technician must adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output, demonstrating keen attention to detail throughout the fabrication process.
Responsibilities
• Read and understand dimensional drawings and specifications, bill of materials and job order requirements.
• Assemble product to drawing specifications.
• Use various hand and power tools and equipment, such as band saws, drill press, pipe benders, etc.
•Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) in relation to operations/organization of work flow.
Qualifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand dimensional drawings and specifications, bill of materials and job order requirements.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment, such as band saws, drill press, pipe benders, etc.
• Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) in relation to operations/organization of work flow.
• Strong attention to detail.
