Rules, laws and processes.
Provide customer service ensuring that prompt and efficient service is provided,.
Perform work as a Lottery Retailer and store providing Lottery Game Sales and redemption and premium item sales.
Provide player support, explain Lottery and game rules and Prize payment options.
Complete Department of Justice and Department of Human Services court orders received for agency debt setoffs.
Maintain confidential information.
Prepare IRS and tax related forms.
Maintain department archiving and records retention requirements.
Provide research for Problem Ticket resolution.
Help train new team members.
Assist Winner Awareness Coordinator with winner experience.
Associate's Degree and three (3) years of experience in high-volume customer facing customer service (in-person/general public), explaining rules, procedures to general public, strong data entry, preference to banking and accounting background; OR
Five (5) years of experience in high-volume customer facing customer service (in-person/general public), explaining rules, procedures to general public, strong data entry, preference to banking and accounting background.
Vacation Leave: 10 hours per month, with increased accruals every 5 years
Sick Leave: 8 hours per month

We are looking for one (1) Player Services Specialist to join the Player Services Team. You will be in office at the Salem headquarters working 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Player Services, you will provide complex level customer service to lottery customers. Assist walk-in and mail-in customers with prize payment of winning lottery tickets and resolution of ticket and payment issues. Work with Security on technical payment and ticket issues. Notify winners of delays in prize processing. Work with the Department of Human Services and the Department of Child Services to resolve payment issues.
