      Req#: R0000183839

      Career Area:

      Information Technology

      Job Description:

      PLM Business Process Specialist/Analyst:

Candidate is expected to know, or learn as needed, enough about Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)-related business people/processes/products AND about PLM and CAD tools to partner with business to properly solve problems and make improvements. These tools primarily include PTC's Windchill PDMLink application, using PTC's Creo Parametric and Creo View.

This typically does not include day-to-day production support (but often will), but rather deals with relationships, communications, data, methods/processes, conventions (promoting commonality!), improvements, etc.

It requires an ability to troubleshoot tough issues, write a clear problem statement (which does NOT include solution(s)), understand and write requirements, and create optimal conceptual/solution designs which (as needed) can be used by developers in technical design & coding.

Also requires significant project management, data management, and Windchill/Creo software user skills. Computer science or deep technical knowledge is useful but not required. Objective should always be solving problems and creating solutions while avoiding/minimizing/reducing complexity and/or customizations (Simplicity: The art of maximizing the amount of work not done!).

Required: Degree in engineering field, or 3-5 years work experience using Windchill.

Preferred: Windchill or Creo Parametric support/training/administration experience. Strong computer science background or aptitude/interest.
