      Responsibilities

      · Develop, modify, and test complex database objects in Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL, with additional development work in Java.

      · Participate in the migration of Vitech V3 Core Admin benefits administration software (running on-premises in Oracle Database 11gR2) to Vitech V3locity (running in AWS on Aurora PostgreSQL).

      · Convert and test the conversion of database components from Oracle PL/SQL to PostgreSQL.

      · Collaborate with business analysts to understand and implement business requirements.

      · Perform significant business analysis to ensure the software meets the needs of the organization, including as documenting requirements, mapping and program logic, designing solutions, and testing.

      · Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, program logic and flowcharts.

      · Utilize automated software testing tools to ensure the quality and reliability of the applications.

      · Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Vitech V3 Core Admin and Vitech V3locity.

      · Learn and master database schema of complex third-party enterprise applications.

      · Understand and interpret customer requirement and develop solutions to meet requirements

      Qualifications

      · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

      · Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an PL/SQL developer required; proficiency in PL/SQL and/or PostgreSQL (ideally both).

      · Experience with Oracle Database 11gR2 and/or AWS Aurora PostgreSQL (ideally both).

      · Some knowledge of Java programming.

      · Experience with AWS services and cloud migration would be helpful.

      · Experience with automated software testing tools valuable.

      · Experience in Application Development with knowledge of software development life cycle and secure coding methodologies.

      · Knowledge of database tuning and optimizing the performance of complex database procedures and packages very helpful.

      · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      · Must be able to manage priorities and handle simultaneous demands; willingness to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.

      · Experience in employee benefits, healthcare payer operations, or defined-benefit pension administration a plus.
