      Position Description
      • Provide on-site (trade and non-trade specific) technical support so that contractual commitments are met, which includesmaintenance and repairof the facility assets.
      • Maintenance and repairactivity as per contractual requirements, relevant guidelines, legislation and codes.
      • Planned Preventative Maintenanceand call-in tasks to be documented in theComputerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS) using Ipad.
      • Participation in on site coverage to ensure appropriate site coverage as per contractual compliance.
      • Assistance to other maintenance personnel.
      • Ensure safety to staff and public while at the facility.

      GENERAL AND TRADE SPECIFIC DUTIESnot intended to be an all-inclusive list
      • Responds to demand work orders as generated byCMMS, to ensure minimal disruption to site operations.
      • Maintainsplumbingequipment utilizing trade skills torepair/replace items as required (i.e. toilets, sinks, taps, pipes, valves, drains etc.).
      • Maintains andrepairsmechanical systems(i.e. various styles of pumps,steam systems, grease traps, water controls, trap seal primer system, hot water heating equipment, glycol systems, RO systems, water softening systems, humidification systems, air handling systems,fire suppression systems, expansion tanks, water chemical treatment systems, filtration systems etc.) by inspecting, analyzing, adjusting, replacing and refurbishing.
      • Complete and document all assigned work orders andpreventative maintenanceas per OEM and SOP's in a timely manner, ensuring all deadlines are met.
      • Installs new systems and equipment as required as funds are available includingplanningthe job, acquiring materials andcommissioningof final product.
      • Proper completion of documentation inCMMSfor all assigned work
      • Completing non-trade specific tasks as required (painting, wall patching, call system maintenance,furnituremoves, light bulb replacement,window/doorrepairs, replacing ceiling tiles etc.).
      • Prioritizing work based on assigned urgency of task and potential penalty value.
      • Determining work methods in accordance with government codes and by-laws, manufacturer's specifications;planning, laying out and roughing in work; referring toblueprintsand diagrams; estimating material and labor requirements.
      • Cleans and maintains all tools, equipment and assigned shop space.
      • Responds to emergency situations such asfire alarmsand drills, On Call issues and building closure due to weather or building contingencies. Incumbent responsible to fulfill on callscheduleas determined by the manager.
      • Monitors, operates and takes corrective actions on theBuilding AutomationSystem including checking the system regularly for irregularities, alarms and system function ensuring normal operations and customer comfort.
      • Daily and weekly rounds of mechanical spaces.
      • Monitoring alarms, gauges and other instruments.
      • Isolating equipment mechanically andelectricalfor inspection andrepair(lock tag try procedures).
      • Assist other maintenance staff with any work not requiring specific license as required.
      • Always adhere to allsafety regulations.
      • Maintain confidentiality and release of information in accordance with hospital policy at all times.
      • Obligation to review/commit to applicable customer and Honeywellpolicies and proceduresat all times.
      • Use hand/power toolsandtesting equipment.
      • Understand and interpret schematics. Update schematics as required.
      • Performs related duties as assigned by the Facility Manger or Supervisor.
      YOU MUST HAVE
      • High School Diploma.
      • PlumbingCertification as a licensed plumberin Ontario (306A License)
      • 5+ years of experience in commercialplumbingandheating preferred
      • Immunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act
      • The successful candidate will be required to provide a recent police check at their expense.
      WE VALUE
      • Preference will be given to those with a Building Environmental Operator Certification and/or a Stationary Engineer Certification
      • Experience with large building HVAC central systems, chillers and boilers
      • Experience with large pumps and hydronic systems
      • Experience working within a healthcare industry is preferred
      • Experience using hand andpower tools,
      • Previous experience working directly with customers in a service environment
      • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential when interpretingblueprints/drawings
      • Effective communicationincluding customer follow up
