      We have a fantastic and interesting opportunity to join Santander as a PMO Manager. You will be responsible for managing the PMO range of activities to enable the effective and timely delivery of projects within the workstreams, including scoping and prioritisation, planning, provision/reallocation of resource; stakeholder management; inter-dependency analysis; problem solving and solution finding.

      You will support the Central CTO (Central Transformation Office), Workstream Leaders and PMO Senior Managers in ensuring that each project and Workstream is delivering against plan and the overall mandate.

      This role will contribute to identification and management of risks and issues especially at portfolio level and ensure relevant escalations actions are followed through.

      The difference you’ll make:

      • Collaborating with business areas across Santander to ensure value is created through the intelligent utilisation of organisational change resources with recognition of a move towards a more agile model
      • Using project management experience and knowledge to manage the timely delivery of projects across the business areas within the workstreams, with accurate reporting on status, scope and budget, and dependency management
      • Contributing to the identification of change activity that has a direct / in-direct impact on achievement of strategic objectives
      • Escalating information on emerging trends, alongside mitigating actions. This could relate to people risk, 3rd party supplier risk, financial risk
      • Contributing towards the accurate completion of day to day governance activities to ensure risks are effectively managed and escalated as appropriate
      • Nurturing a positive environment, fostering new ideas and developing individual talent across the wider team, ensuring appropriate performance targets and development plans are in place

      What you’ll bring:

      • Previous experience in PMO/project management role coupled with accomplished solution delivery skills in various methodologies (waterfall, agile etc)
      • Experience of preparing accurate reports and delivering presentations to customers, sponsors and stakeholders regarding project status, results and recommendations
      • Experience of developing processes and procedures in regards to governance and change management principles
      • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable challenging, constructively and influencing stakeholders across all divisions of Santander to manage complex situations
      • Experience managing programs of work with the focus on outcomes and being able to articulate what the benefits are

      It would also be nice for you to have:

      • Ability to develop solutions to operational and processing problems and make recommendations to senior management
      • Direct line management of PMO team members may be required, plus possible matrix management and influencing of resources outside line management responsibility
      • Accomplished analytical and presenting skills

      This is a permanent position and is based from our Milton Keynes (Unity Place) office, our current expectation is at least 2 days in the office every week.
