      What you’ll do at OhioMHAS :

      · Performs police related duties per hospital policy

      · Secures buildings and grounds by foot or vehicle patrol

      · Advises the public of policies

      · Escorts visitors to visitation

      · Assists nursing staff during emergency codes per policy

      · Conducts investigations on alleged violations of hospital policy

      · Completes documentation as required

      This is an hourly position covered by the State of Ohio Unit 2 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 10 on the Unit 2 Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are variable. This position is located within COBH at 2200 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43223.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Possession of certificate having successfully completed approved basic peace officer training program or completion of 20 yrs. active duty as peace officer per Section 109.78(D) of Ohio revised code; valid driver's license. Probationary period is one year. Note: Applicant must be able to successfully perform Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program (OPOTC) Fitness Testing Entry Standards for New Recruits
