      Duties


      • Perform and enforce the full range of police officer duties within the military installation.
      • Perform the full range of Base Entry Controller duties. Ensure individuals requesting access to the installation have the proper identification credentials before entering.
      • Perform the full range of duties for defending protection level resources.
      • Serve as a Security Forces Dispatcher for the installation.

      • Total salary varies depending on location of position
      • Travel and relocation expenses may or may not be paid

      • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

      • Must be qualified in the use of required weapons, as the incumbent will be required to use firearms in performing duties
      • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968
      • Must pass an initial pre-employment medical examination, periodic medical examinations, required physical fitness/physical agility tests, meet established hearing standards and discern colors, contrast, and depth
      • Must wear a uniform and meet applicable dress and appearance standards as identified in current AFI
      • May be required to wear protective clothing such as coats, boots, and vests and/or chemical protective equipment, (e.g. respirator mask)
      • Must undergo initial job compatibility assessment
      • Must be able to operate all Security Forces Vehicles and installed equipment. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required for the position
      • Subject to annual duty position evaluation on a pass/fail standard
