HIRING PROCESS
The hiring process for police officer is year round. Successful applicants will be hired throughout the year as Police Cadet II (non-hazardous position). This is a full-time position that receives full benefits. Police Cadet II will be promoted to Police Officer on or before the BGLEA start date. In order to be hired as a Police Cadet II applicants must meet/complete the following requirements:
EVENT SCHEDULE
POPS Physical Testing - 2nd Thursday of the month at the BG Police Headquarters (911 Kentucky St). You will need to bring the T1 and T1a Forms with you along with a picture ID in order to take the test. (Dress appropriately for the weather, shorts and tank tops are allowed). Bring something to drink and a towel.
Suitability Screening - 2nd Thursday of the month. Locations will vary. You will need a picture ID in order to register for the test.
Applicants will be contacted to schedule polygraphs, psychological exams, and interviews (typically these will occur on a monthly basis)
