Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and enforce Tribal laws and regulations. Initiate traffic stops when drivers are operating in an unsafe manner or in violation of the laws and issue traffic citations as needed. Conduct investigations, interviews and interrogations, and follow up of crimes and disturbances including burglaries, thefts and motor vehicle crashes. Administer first aid as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass ORPAT and POST tests. Pass DPSST physical standards and attend DPSST academy and complete successfully within an acceptable period of time. Physical exam is required and must submit to a pre-employment drug screen. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Oregon Driver's License. Applicant must have no felonies, domestic violence convictions, and no misdemeanor convictions within one year of employment.
