      The role

      As a Police Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary, to deliver engaging, evidence based, high energy training and assessments to ensure police recruits progress in a timely manner through their programme.

      Day-to-day, you’ll work collaboratively with MPS trainer counterparts to deliver high impact and engaging lessons, in alignment with A New Met for London principles and MPS’ vision.

      • Provide teaching, learning support and undertake assessment to ensure recruits progress timely through their programme.
      • Deliver an excellent recruit experience in accordance with the programme requirements.
      • To develop highly motivated recruits who proactively engage with learning and transfer knowledge, skills and behaviours to the workplace, and enable them to integrate theory with practice through reflection.
      • To represent Babcock positively and professionally within MPS facilities and when working alongside MPS staff and officers
      • This role is full time OR part time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and is based at Sidcup.

      Essential experience of the Police Trainer:

      • Comprehensive understanding of policing and the context, challenges and issues.
      • Significant operational experience in policing.


      Qualifications for the Police Trainer:

      • Degree qualification or willing to achieve a Level 7 Academic Professional (Teaching route) apprenticeship.

      Security Clearance
      The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
