What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and draft policies and procedures in collaboration with subject matter experts and Division staff
- Analyze and compile information from various sources to assess the impact of laws and regulations on Division policies
- Coordinate policy and procedure needs for large-scale projects within the Division
- Facilitate workgroups and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance policy effectiveness
- Mentor and support DDD Policy Specialists to ensure timely development and revision of policies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two years’ experience writing policy or three years’ experience as a technical writer
- Knowledge of the Division of Developmental Disabilities, AHCCCS Medicaid programs, and applicable federal and state regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using computer software packages such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience editing policy or legal documents and familiarity with the ACOM and A.R.S related to the division
- Previous experience in policy development and analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
